Bairrada Beach

The beach of Bairrada or Bairradinha is only 20 min away by car from Blue Lake House. This beach, which is placed in the middle between the towns of Tomar and Ferreira do Zêzere, is unique in that it is the only sand beach in Castelo do Bode Blue Lake. Only a small bar and restrooms are available as amenities. incredibly well-liked by the locals.

Zaboeira Beach

You can have some fun in the floating pool at the pleasant beach of Zaboeira in Castelo do Bode. The beach is surrounded by tall, attractive trees, and there is a spot where small boats can be moored, making it perfect for participating in various water sports. A restaurant, a bar, and simple outdoor parking.

Fernandaires Beach

One of Castelo de Bode's most exciting river beaches is Fernandaires. The beach is in a bay and is encircled by lush hills, making it truly idyllic and ideal for water sports like kayaking, water skiing, and wakeboarding. Or you could just head for the river in a rubber boat.
There is no shortage of nature. Additionally, there is no shortage of infrastructure. The Fernandaires River Beach features an anchorage, a kid- and adult-sized floating pool, a bar with an esplanade, shower-equipped restrooms, and convenient parking. It makes sense why it is one of our favourite Castelo de Bode blue lake beaches.

Trízio Beach

Castelo de Bode's Trízio River Beach is a true haven. It’s a location where everybody is happy. You can seclude yourself there, reserve a sun lounger, spread your towel, and take in the peace of the area.
The amenities provided by the Clube Náutico do Zêzere include an anchorage, a restaurant and bar, restrooms, a picnic area with sun loungers, parking, and kayaks and pedal boats.

Dornes Beach

Although the Praia Fluvial de Dornes lacks a floating pool and a robust support system, it has some of the most incredible scenery. Its location in the Mythical Land of the Knights Templar, also known as the Enchanted Peninsula of Dornes, is more than sufficient justification for inclusion in this list.
The most well-known pentagonal defensive tower in Portugal, the Templar Tower of Dornes, is situated right on top of a lovely peninsula that the Zêzere River surrounds.
So, in addition to enjoying cooling dips in the Zêzere blue lake and engaging in water sports, you can also learn about its vast and enigmatic history.

Penedo Furado Beach

We can safely say that Penedo Furado's river beach is one of our top picks. Before going down, pause the car at the viewpoint and take in the scenery. Take a dip in the river's calm waters, and if you can, hike the walkway trail to the waterfalls.
In Penedo Furado, there is a bar, restrooms, access for people with disabilities, a picnic area, and parking.

Alverangel Beach

Given that it is close to the village of the same name, most locals refer to it as Praia do Casalinho beach. There is absolutely no support infrastructure, and access is extremely difficult because it requires a brief downhill walk and an uphill trek back. The cost of experiencing a true piece of paradise smack dab in the middle of Castelo de Bode Blue Lake is this. Pack a picnic lunch!

The extraordinary Fluvial Beach of Aldeia do Mato, situated on the left bank of Zêzere Blue Lake. With a captivating landscape, blue flag, floating pools, anchorage and perfect conditions for water sports, changing rooms and support bar are the main assets of the Aldeia do Mato Fluvial Beach.

Montes Beach

Montes is the most famous river beach near Tomar. The best part of all is its idyllic location, far from any urban area, which makes it one of the quietest beaches in Castelo de Bode Blue Lake. Quercus awarded it a Gold classification, which says everything about its waters. The only things you'll find here are unadulterated nature and a cable park where you can practise wakeboarding, so don't count on any support infrastructure.

Fontes Beach

One of the Castelo de Bode's blue lake most recent fluvial beaches is Praia Fluvial de Fontes. It is surrounded by lush landscaping and offers privileged views of the idyllic Lombo Island as well as a floating pool, a great support bar, a picnic area, restrooms, and a shower.
